Trouble hands are those that look great when you are first the dealt the hand, but once the possibilities of the hand are determined, they stop looking so wonderful and the player can realize the risk that is being assumed in the case that they choose to play the trouble hand. There have been many a player that has chose to use these trouble hands – and the outcome goes one of two ways; the trouble hand is held on long enough for the player to establish a winning hand, or the player is beaten by an opponent that has a stronger hand.
What are some of the common trouble hands that are displayed through the game of poker? Through the game of poker, there are some common trouble hands which are often dealt to the player. The most common hand that gets players into trouble is a pair of jacks dealt to the player, as these look appealing, but unless another jack shows up on the flop, there is a high chance that another player is going to have an over pair, or a pair of cards that is higher than the jacks and will therefore win the hand because of the stronger pair.
The next most popular trouble hand is a ten combined with a high card such as a king or an ace. Unless you are able to pair this with the higher card, there is a very low chance that you are going to be able to win the hand with the pair of tens and therefore one should be careful about playing this hand, as well as the jacks.
